The car arrived today! As expected, she is in bad shape, but there were some surprises that were immediately apparent. I had no idea what the engine was, but it looks like she at some point had a swap from the factory engine to a 442 400ci Rocket-V8 big block.
Pulling some numbers from the engine bay, she has a 390925E casting. These are the specifications for that engine:

Some pages seem to claim this engine is “VERY RARE,” but I can’t seem to find any information to back up that claim. But it also seems this is a late model ’67 engine which a lot of people like, so at least that’s good! We’ll see what I can find out tomorrow after it’s daylight again.
